Head Coach – Mark Golds

Mark has been coaching junior and senior players for over 38 years. His Academy is now in its 15 year having helped over 1000+ young boys and girls develop and improve their Badminton skills

With experience coaching England u13/u15 junior and senior England players he has a wealth of experience matched by few.

Mark as a player has won mixed Doubles world championships and European Men’s and Mixed Gold medals and numerous National and All England Titles at Men’s and Mixed.

He is one of the few coaches who has the ability to take a player at grass roots level to full international level.

Head Coach – Nick Golds

Nick has been a qualified coach for the last 30 years coaching not only junior internationals, county players, adults and beginners as well as his daughters who also help with the academy.

He has played at junior and senior county levels and was on the junior nationals squad. Currently, he is playing for the Cheshire VETS and also playing in the Stockport Premiership.

Assistant Coach – Grace Golds

Grace has been playing badminton since she was 6 and is now a 17 year old player who has been assisting with the running of the academy for the last 4 years.

She is currently helping out with the coaching of beginner and intermediate players as well as updating the academy social media pages.

Assistant Coach – Lydia Golds

Lydia has been playing badminton since she was 4 and is now a 14 year old player who has also been assisting with the coaching of the beginners in the academy for the last 2 years.

She was one of the first 3 members of the academy along with her sister and former academy member Alice Smith
